The Design:

Design is character-based, not a realistic likeness of a person or animal
Design cannot be an existing character from a show, film, media, etc.
Design cannot be a direct replication of a previous JUHWA piece
More complex designs or major changes beyond the scope of the original draft will incur additional costs
1-3 main solid colours based on what’s available (special glazes can be unpredictable), & not including face details

Once the order has been placed, a Google Form will be sent to the email provided. Please fill in the form within a week of receiving it, but if you need more time, please let me know! Answering some of these basic questions in the form will help me come up with the design.
Within 1-2 weeks of submitting the Google Form, I’ll send a design based on your answers. You can request to make minor changes one time. There’ll be additional fees for changes made after, and additional fees for any major changes.
Please respond to emails promptly so I can have the piece ready before the next firing. A final artwork will be sent for your approval before I can begin sculpting. After confirmation, the design cannot be changed.
These conditions help the process of creating a custom sculpture run smoothly since it can be quite a lengthy process. Thank you for your patience, cooperation and understanding!

The Examples:
Disclaimer:
Porcelain is the most difficult and delicate clay to work with, requiring particular attention to sculpting and timing. Therefore the risk of failure or cracks occurring after a 1300°c firing is a lot higher compared to other clays. Smaller imperfections are considered part of the nature and character of being handmade. However, based on the type or level of flaws that may or may not appear after firing, you may receive a partial refund.

I offer a flat rate shipping as a standard parcel for all orders, local and international, including tracking. Adding insurance will incur additional fees. Please read here for more details.

Custom orders are usually opened up for a limited time as I prepare for an online drop, which can sometimes take 2-3 months to get ready. This means I can fire everything together to save on costs and reduce carbon footprint, and then mail everything out at the same time. Since there may be unexpected delays throughout the process, I cannot take on commission work that requires a certain deadline, so please keep this in mind! If there are any setbacks, I’ll inform you via email straight away.

Commissioned pieces cannot be returned or refunded as they’re custom made.

The pieces are very carefully and tightly packed in individual boxes then placed in a mailing box to minimise the risk of anything breaking. Damages during transit are unfortunately out of my hands. Broken pieces can be put back together with super glue designed for ceramics.
